Shiori (栞; しおり) is a fictional Iga Ninja in Seishin Series.
Creation and Concept[]
The theme behind Shiori is "adoption" and "the traditional image of women back in pre-modern days". Women were often depended upon on taking care of the children while the husband was the usual leader of the house, following after him in leadership was his son or elder brother. An orphaned Shiori was adopted into the Iga and trained as a tool. An intimate bond grows between her and Shoutarou. Female ninja use their gender to take advantage of men and are trained in disguise, recon, and poisons. Her name means "bookmark".
Character[]
A gentle character, but pursues someone she really wants to depend on because she grew fearful on how she's been treated. Shiori teaches Shoutarou about Sumata (素股); in fact, she sees him as trustworthy.
Story[]
Formerly from a scattered family, Shiori was a girl that was a part of a non-domestic sex trade until Tanba Momochi issued the order to the Tsukimori Family and Sawamura Family to break up the trade. Tanba motivated the Iga to destroy the lascars, hearing of rumors of abuse, murder, and kidnapping. Shiori was one of the chief's "comfort tools" and was taken into Ryo Tsukimori and his family. For the moment, she tended to the fields and cleaned the family's home until it was approved by Tanba that she trained to go on espionage missions using her beauty. During these times, she gradually fell in love with Ryo's son Shoutarou.

Shiori often moves as a spy and travels across the lands to collect information while employing hidden disguises.
