Gray Wolf in Monster Rancher animation
Gray Wolf is one of the main characters in the fanfic Howl of Gray Wolf created by MGW. In the games, the monster type of Gray Wolf is a "Tiger/???". Called Gingiraiga (ギンギライガー) in Japanese version.

A Gray Wolf is a rare Tiger breed, making its appearance in Monster Rancher 1. It's MR2 equivalent is White Hound; also in MR2, an enemy monster named Kamui is a rare Tiger breed that you can fight in one of the expeditions. Gray Wolf also appears in Monster Rancher Lagoon.

One of the Big Bad 4 under Moo, and younger brother of Tiger.
Howl of Gray Wolf
- First Version
- The main character. Gray Wolf journeys around the world to seek out Moo after his pack is killed by Jesvah (formerly named Jespah). While he does not succeed in killing in Jesvah, he faces against Moo and is nearly killed. He is revived from near death by Mocchi and his journey begins. Traveling the world, he gathers friends and leads them through battles the Dragon Four and their subordinates.
- Remake
- Gray Wolf first appears in the chapter "His Name is", and his role and character is mostly maintained from the original version. He is a three year old leader of a tiger pack, which ends up being killed by the dragon Jesvah. After that event, Gray Wolf, with a virtually blinding rage, travels with Mocchi and his baby brother Tiger in search for his nemesis. Gradually, he would learn Jesvah's actions are connected with many other monsters, who are committing crimes to increase nigrum.
